Live With Courage and Responsibility
“Act like men.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13
Biblical manhood accepts responsibility under God’s authority. It does not depend upon personality, physical strength, or social status. It displays courage, maturity, self-control, and faithful service.
Paul’s command calls men away from spiritual immaturity. A mature man does not avoid difficult responsibilities. He faces them with wisdom, prayer, and dependence upon God.
This courage is not harshness or aggression. Jesus showed perfect manhood through truth, compassion, sacrifice, and obedience. He confronted evil without cruelty. He served others without surrendering His responsibilities.
A godly man takes ownership of his choices. He does not blame his family, circumstances, or upbringing for present disobedience. When he sins, he confesses it. When he causes harm, he seeks forgiveness. When work must be done, he steps forward.
He also uses his strength for the good of others. He protects the vulnerable, serves his church, leads through example, and keeps his commitments.
